The Suit Surgeons Ltd was formed in 1962, when I completed my apprenticeship as a bespoke tailor.

The company is a private partnership. We have been tailoring both mens and womens made to measure garments along with an alteration division since it's inception.

The business operated from busy down town Dunedin for many years and then at 7 Main Road, Fairfield from 1973 - 2002. From 2003 until recently we were situated in Stuart Street Dunedin in the heart of the tourist traffic. We now operate from 55 Highgate, Belleknowes. It provides easy access to our specialised range of products and our tailoring services.

My job has become a way of life that I have never lost enthusiasm for. We adjusted to customer demands for made to measure garments at ready made prices and introduced new machinery to our artillery.

Always prepared to adapt to the times we turned our direction to local District Tartans. The success of these encouraged me to think about the development of a New Zealand District Tartan that would encumber all New Zealanders. I am now proud to introduce you the "Pride of New Zealand™" - the tartan for all New Zealanders.
